Bio

Dan Missere is a PGA of Canada Class A Professional born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie with over 20 years of teaching experience. 

His work in the golf industry began at age 12 as a bag boy at the Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club.  He began his apprenticeship at 18 and assumed the Head Professional position just three years later.  During his time at the Club he was successful in administering an  introductory and competitive Junior program along with an extensive client base of players of all abilities.

Dan held that position for 9 years before leaving to become the Director of Golf at Crimson Ridge, a position he held until 2006.  Dan left Crimson Ridge to assume the responsibilities as General Manager of Searchmont Resort, a regional ski resort located just north of Sault Ste. Marie.

Dan’s teaching experience extends beyond golf.  Dan is currently a Level 3 member of the Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance and a Level 2 member of the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation.  He has been teaching and coaching the sport of skiing at various levels for over 20 years.

Most recently Dan achieved trianed status as a Coach of New Competitors.  Dan aims to put this training, along with his ski coaching experience to use in the delivery of the New Competitors Program launching this spring.
